Margaret started riding at the age of four. She was introduced to eventing at a young age while under the training of Becky Brown (Prix St. George) dressage rider. She then began her event training under Rebecca Brown (FEI 5* USA) rider. After competing in eventing and HJ/SJ under Rebecca she then moved and began training with Kadi Eykamp (FEI 5* AUS/USA) rider. At the age of fourteen she inquired a talented OTTB and started her training with Mike Huber (FEI 5* USA) Olympic team member and gold medalist, and Heather Morris (FEI 5* USA) rider. Margaret wintered in Florida and California while still finishing up high school. She trained with Tamie Smith (FEI 5* USA) rider while wintering in California. Margaret moved to Florida after being selected for the U18 Olympic development program. She train on the U18 team under Leslie Law (FEI 5* UK) rider and individual gold medalist. While in Florida she became a working student for Sinead Halpin (FEI 5* USA) rider and WEG team member/ short listed for US Olympic team. She worked under Sinead and Tik Maynard (FEI 4* CAN) Pan Am Games team member for two plus years. Margaret was able to train with James Burtwell, a international Grand Prix dressage rider and dressage accredited UKCC level 3.
